I love in-home photo shoots! Every shoot is completely different and extremely personal. I’m so grateful to be invited into my client’s home and capture beautiful memories they can keep forever! In order to be productive and make the most out of your In-Home shoot here are a few things to keep in mind:
Make the most out of your natural light – Natural light makes the most beautiful photos and we have so many different ways to work with it. So if you have windows you’re already a step ahead 😉 Make sure to keep them wide open and remove anything that could block the sunlight shining into your home.
Open spaces – Remember, less is more. If you have a room or area that can be cleared out make sure you do so before your session. Hide any wires that might be visible on the photo. So much creativity and fun can come out of a clean blank canvas!
Decor – This is key as it will be a big part of the outcome of your photo shoot. Paying attention to details and removing all unnecessary objects will give you plenty more photos to love versus photos you wish you would have removed that silly lamp that didn’t match your outfit.
Of course, I’m here to help so please feel free to reach out if you need any advise prior your in-home photo shoot!
